Unfolding Potential

What is potential? How does it begin?

Most importantly, how do we fulfill our potential?

Unlike a skill that needs to be learned, potential already lies within each of us. It is waiting to be brought to the forefront. Thankfully, we are not directionless in this most central of life’s challenges. Judaism (and each of the holidays, in particular) offers us some of the greatest guidance possible on how to ‘actualize’ ourselves.

In this crucial task, we do not focus on what we have done. We focus on who we are meant to become.
